Doggies Have Whiskers!!!!
All dogs are adorable. And their whiskers make them all the more adorable and cuddly. Now if you have a dog, you surely must have wondered why do they have whiskers? Do all dogs have whiskers, Even bitches? Well, so did I?
Yes, every dog has whiskers, even bitches. You see, whiskers are very important to dogs, or any other animal. It helps them sense their surroundings. Many a times you will See you dog put his muzzle into small spaces or vacancies. The reason why they do it is because their whiskers help them sense and measure the space they are trying to get into. If the space is to small, their whiskers will tell them so.
Their whiskers also help the feel waves and vibrations. For example, when an eartquake will occur the waves will set the whiskers of animals vibrating and the animals will understand that the earth quake is coming and save their lives. It acts as a sixth sense alarm or something for them.
Allthough my dog, Pepper, slept through the earthquake while we were running around the house partly amused and partly paniked "OMG! Its an earthquake" So the second theory I guess does not fot well with dogs.
